RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, select and contract with new suppliers in new and existing markets based on product, sales and operational requirements.
  • Manage and drive the performance of suppliers to maximize financial, service and operational objectives.
  • Manage the relationship with suppliers and in conjunction with all internal business partners
  • Responsible for a portfolio of existing key supplier agreements valued at over $20M USD PA spends.
  • Identify and implement cost savings through projects such as Off-net to On-net (O2O), and sunset of products/platforms and various network optimization opportunities.
  • Plan and chair supplier service reviews monthly, report key metrics and action takeaways from reviews.
  • Support Sales, Product and Pricing organization with obtaining competitive/non-standard pricing for High Probability Wins (HPW) as required.
  • Support Operations with sourcing high value opportunities as well as any CAPEX projects.
  • Identify new suppliers in new markets: research the market, meet the suppliers (often and sr. management level) to assess capabilities and the “fit” with the company’s requirements and recommend to business (sales, product, and operations) best fit suppliers.
  • Run RFx process for sourcing of new suppliers.
  • Lead negotiations and approve Master Services Agreements (MSA) in accordance with established company requirements and processes.
  • Operationalize new suppliers through documentation, processes, and conference calls or face to face meetings with groups internally and their peers within the supplier organizations e.g. Sales Quoting, ICG, Service Delivery, Field Operations and Network Operations Centers (NOC).
  • Act as a point of escalation to various levels of management for service delivery, pricing and service assurance problems.
  • Drive specific actions with our suppliers to improve our customer advocacy program.
  • Assist with resolution of billing disputes as required.
  • Attend international conferences and represent Procurement and Supplier Management with the objective of sourcing and building new supplier relationships while managing margin with lowest cost.
  • Significant domestic and international travel is required in this position.
